Pre-Order Motorola MPx From Tek 'n Toys Today
Our affiliate partner Tek 'n Toys has been working hard to secure an order of the much-coveted Motorola MPx, and they're now accepting pre-orders. Because the charge is zero dollars, this amounts to putting your name in the queue to ensure that you get one, but you're not pre-paying or committing to anything. If you've been lusting after the MPx, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss!

"Condensing the power of a desktop into the convenience of a mobile phone, the Motorola MPx provides business consumers with a new choice for live, realtime, on-the-go connectivity in a never seen before form factor. Delivering an always at hand convenience via Microsoft Pocket PC functionality, QWERTY keyboard, continuous connectivity using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies, as well as an embedded 1.3 mega pixel camera and large dual hinge landscape and portrait color display. The model MPx creates a successful merger between business and pleasure. Breaking through the convergence clutter, the Motorola MPx is the must-have solution to help driven professionals manage their mobile lives in realtime."
Check out a video clip of the MPx in action. [Affiliate]

Anyone know if this will work with ATT Wireless? I am lusting after this and would probably like it even if I did not use the phone part.

If it's GSM, it should work.

From an interview with the vp of moto Pro devision over at msmobile, it appears to have only 64Mb ram. This is unfortunate, but I'm finding myself willing to compromise. I actually find the 32 process thing more limiting, but with only 64 Mb I will probably not attempt to try break that limit again.
Apparently the bluetooth will be much improved, with many more well-implemented profiles.

Not necessarily. I think the MPx is triband 900/1800/1900, yes? Some of ATTWS's areas are GSM 850. :|

Is it me or does the person holding this thing have enormous hands? Other pics I've seen make it look pretty big, but this guy's hand makes it look miniature.

64 MB is "ok" - I have that on my iPAQ 4150, and I never run out of RAM because I simply load most of the big apps onto the SD card, so for me this is a non-issue. Besides, you'll have better battery life with 64 MB of RAM vs. 128 MB. ;-) There's a good solution to the process issue, now it's up to developers to implement it, so if people ask developers to do so, I think it will be a non-issue within a few months.

Check out the video - to me, it looks pretty small. In fact, smaller than I thought. Or just cut out a piece of paper to the measurements. ;-)
