Default Hitachi G1000 Update Released, Adding SDIO Support

http://www.sprintpcsinfo.com/module...article&sid=377

"An update has been released for the Hitachi G1000 that gives it SDIO and SDIONow compliance. Unfortunately it is only available from the hard-to-access Sprint Downloads page (not even on Hitachi's G1000 page currently)."

This isn't a ROM update, so it should be a pretty quick install. This was one of my big criticisms of the G1000 (32MB of RAM was the other), and I'm glad to see it go. Have any G1000 owners tried this along with an SDIO card?

My local CompUSA is out of stock of the card, but atleast the install went with not problems. Now I'll be waiting for WM2003 update

It installed without a hitch. Just ordered a Socket WiFi card. I've been wondering if a bluetooth card would allow the G to use a headset or not. What needs to have the headset profile, the G or the card?

I don't think BT will work, because even if the BT card supported a headset, it would still need audio to be routed over SDIO -- and I don't think any handheld does that. :|
