Default Rhinoskin Aluminum Hard Case for HP iPAQ 1900 - Only $25.99 USD at Amazon

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/A...20/jasondunn-20

Looking for an inexpensive metal case for your iPAQ 1900 series Pocket PC, but don't want to break the bank? Amazon has Rhinoskin aluminum cases on for only $25.99 USD, which is a really good deal. :-) Remember that Amazon only ships things like this in the USA, so my apologies to the rest of the globe.

 "100% scratch-resistant anodized aluminum
Easy access to stylus and function buttons
Padded interior protects screen and function buttons
IR port exposed for easy data transfer
 Internal SD card holder"

In my experience, cases for 1900 series iPAQs will also fit the 4100 series iPAQs, although the fit will be a little more sung. [Affiliate]

Actually Brad, there is a Rhinoskin case made for the iPAQ 4100. You can get it at www.Rhinoskin.com today if you want a perfect fit.

Hi, I'm Jason, and I'm the one who did the post. Anyway, I know that there are cases for the 4100 series, but not for $25.99 - I was simply pointing out that 4100 owners in need of a metal case could consider this as an option.

Default Hard to hold

I had a Rhino Skin case similar to this one for my old Palm Tungsten. I found it hard to hold on to because of the way it opened up the lid made it almost impossible to get a good grip. :?

I have this exact case for my (former) 1935, and I love it. My only qualm with it was that it didn't fit my WiFi card in the SD storage slot, which was to be expected. I'm either going to reuse the case I have or get a new one for the 4155 I expect to be getting later this week. The only reason I'd get a new case is so that I can use the IR without taking the case off (silly HP, moving the IR port to the bottom of the device :roll

Unfortunately, this isn't very accurate. I have a Rhinoskin for my 2215 and ended up accidentally scuffing up the case when the ipaq shared a pocket with a set of keys during a short walk.

Why was it in a pocket rather than clipped to my belt? Because the little post that screws onto the back of the case nearly managed to free itself (and fall off my hip) a day earlier. For minimal security, that post either needs to be bolted to the case or glued with something like Lock-Tite. Normal movement will allow the current system to unscrew quite easily.

Needless to say, I've got an UltraClip with an adhesive post on order.
