Default Wanna Beta Test an Image Viewer?

http://xzeos.hosted.firstream.net/s...w_uk/Pocket_uk/

I don't do a lot of image editing on my Pocket PC, mostly because I'm still searching for a tool that suits my tastes. If you'd like to experiment with a new image editor/viewer, here is your chance to try out a beta version of XnView Pocket from XZEOS Software.

"You can easily view your images and photos on your Pocket PC with XnView Pocket. Thanks to these many tools, you can correct your photos, share them with your friends and your family by sending them by e-mail."

Features :
Display in 5 input modes : Thumbnail, list, detail, Filmstrip and full screen
Use of favourite settings to simplify and accelerate navigation through files
 Display of image data
 Image sorting
Conversion of images between the different supported formats
 Resizing of images
 Screen capture
Association of image types with XnView Pocket
Slide Show mode with adjustment of time between the slides, with various transition effects
 Send images by email

Best of all, XnView is absolutely free! But remember, this is a beta release, so there might be a few bugs.

I've tried it. I must say - it's one of the best picture viewers I've used. There's a really nice tree browser that lets you view thumbnails, and best of all, the picture quality and load time is more then excellent - it beats my old favorite Resco Picture Viewer. It's got all the neat features.. rotate, crop, resize, it can even sharpen pics. All in all, a very nice picture viewer.

A little note, by the way, the text in the screenshots is french, but the download I have is in English, just in case anyone is wondering.

This may be one of the best, but the best picture editor/viewer ever will be released on the 8th of February.

Wait'n'see

Looks to me like Spb has some competition.

Is that start bar thingy included on the image app? It looks a bit weird to me.

It is one of the many skinning apps and not part of this program.

I hope this is an option that can be changed/set during setup or in options (preferably both) as I hate it
when an application grabs a file extension without warning you, as does Spb Palbum Suite. To get around this requires hacking the registry.

Hi

I've installed and the program does not seem to associate itself with jpeg's etc. There are check boxes to do this in the set up. They are all blank by default. I have not tried selecting or deselecting these options.
