Any news on an upgrade from the last version?
I only bought it a couple of weeks ago
I had a look at transcreative's website but there's no mention there...

Answers to the questions
1. The dictionary word list covers both American and UK English, however definitions are written in American English.
2. Regarding upgrade for existing users, if you own any two pieces: WordBook, WordMaster, Quick Lookup, or if you buy WordBook or Quick Lookup after 1/1/2004, the upgrade is free. Otherwise it is 5.95.

I have the same question. I just sent their customer service an email asking for their policy. I'll post back with their response.
For those who don't currently have a dictionary, I recommend this product highly. Both product AND service BLOW Lextionary away (IMO). And if you purchase, make sure to include the free word picker. It's a nice little add-on that permits you to highlight a word in ANY application (except Reader) and look up the meaining with the tap of a stylus.
This program is the best and the only thing that would change my opinion is whether they provide free updates within reasonable time frame. Similar to Iain, I have not had this product very long and would be quite dissapointed if I had to pay for an upgrade.

mjnh is correct. There website indicates in very clear terms there upgrade policy. I contacted them directly and without going into details I can say that the speed and fairness of their response was top-notch :way to go: .
I'm telling you, when you combine service AND product (with a little value sprinkled in) you have a formula for success. I hope this company does well and would highly recommend their product.

Thanks for that, I looked quite hard at the website but couldn't see the $5.95 upgrade info.
Must need glasses!

does anyone get an error message akin to "can't find wordbook dictionary...blah blah blah" periodically while using the dictionary, and especially when left idle?
if so, does this patch fix that?
am i doing something wrong?

I think this has to do with where you installed the package. If you didn't install to the "default directory" (i.e. sd card, etc), then when attempting to open for the 1st time, you will have to navigate to where you installed the software. This should only happen the 1st time you use the software.
