:? Can this actually be made for the 41xx series? AFAIK, they don't have those nubs on the back to attach the cover too. Or am I mistaken?

The review should have indicated the dimensions of the 2210 plus case. I am concerened that the reviewer indicated that the case is too thick for easy button access. That probably translates into an appreciable thickening of the 2210 which leads me to wonder if the 2210 plus case is pocketable.

I just got a clear case from JavoEdge for my iPAQ 1935 today. I'll have to play with it for a few days to see what I really think of it, but so far, I really like the way it looks when my ppc is in it.

When I first pulled it out of the box, it seemed flimsy and very delicate, but with the ppc in it, it feels like a sturdy plastic shell and forms to the device really nicely. Now I can confidently carry my ppc in my front pocket and not worry about it.

Anyway, just thought I would post my initial thoughts for now. I may start a new thread on this case later for a more in-depth review. For now, you can check out the site, where they have clear cases for many different pda's.

Default Flip cover a la Palm V

One thing I wish for is a palm V type flip cover...like the one that come with the Palm V in the box.

While it didn't offer much protection, it kept anything from hitting the screen while in my pocket, which is all I really need.

Somebody please make one!!! (for the HP 19xx)

I've had one for a couple of weeks now - I bought it to replace a Vaja leather case with belt clip which was to big for a suit pocket - the clip was a big mistake.

I like it and will continue using. It is particularly usefull for reading things like Repligo documents as you can navigate and read with the flip closed and if travelling I can easilly slip the ipaq back into my pocket - unlike the Vaja.

Downsides:

It is already becoming scratched.

I have also had the stylus thing fall out on me a couple of times - there is a knack to both using it to push the stylus out and holding it when you push it back.

It can be difficult to open the cover when you have headphones attached to the Ipaq.

That said, I will probably buy my wife one and a replacement for myself if it becomes to scratched (and be more careful next time) as it does add to the utility of the iPaq.

Ian T

PS. Found the price difference between Javo and Ipaqcases to largely disapear when postage was taken into account.

While I personally wouldn't use this case (as I love my metal, side opening case for my 22xx), I can see the usefullness for those that read alot.

IanT, you may be able to use either a normal screen protector on the front of the case to prevent scratches that make it difficult to read or some clear vinyl (like the static stickers for cars). I'm not sure how well it sould fit if the case has a rounded face, but if it's flat, that should protect the "viewing window" for quite some time.

Good point, thanks, hadn't thought of that. My experience with screen protectors is not good - kind of sticky - gathers dust.

Ordinary sticky back plastic maybe.
