pocketnow.com: A Rantin' and a Ravin' About Pocket PC Gamin'
"You know, I've been playing and reviewing games for the Pocket PC platform for a long time now here at pocketnow.com. I've played some truly stunning games, such as "the original", Turjah, the more recent Warfare, Incorporated, and my newest addiction, Bubblets (now built in to the OS, which was a great move - amazing that such a simple game can be so addictive). However, I have one major complaint about Pocket PC gaming - it's never going to truly take off until the hardware is standardized and folks consider this a gaming machine on par with it's business and other functions. Why do I say this, as such a dedicated PPC gamer? Well, for the holidays I received a Gameboy Advance SP. He he...my family and I went on holidays a couple of weeks ago and one of the first things I packed was my old Gameboy (and a couple of classic games). Between my Pocket PC running the PDAMill Gamebox Classics and Scrabble and the Gameboy we had plenty of gaming.
The Pocket Console devices are great. So they only so one thing but they do it well.

I like my N-Gage. It fits better in my pocket than my 3650, it fits in my pocket better than my 3650, it works great with my Jabra BT headset and plays mp3s when I don't want to play Tomb Raider. And I got it for 200 bucks with 3 free games. It's NOT a GBA, by any means, but I don't like to carry a bunch of devices around with me.
