Default Warring Nations: Conquer the World!

http://inplaysoftware.com/wn/index.php

"Warring Nations: Medieval Heroes is a turn-based strategy game, where the action is taking place in the Medieval World. It is the time of noble lords, great battles, and glorious victories. The game territory is divided into provinces. In the beginning of the game, several lords begin to compete for lands, starting with only one province with a castle. During the game, lords collect taxes, recruit forces, conquer new lands, and build new castles. At the end, only one lord will remain. That lord will become the only ruler over the united lands. You are given a chance to create your own Empire!"

Looks like an interesting strategy game - anyone tried it?

There's not much to try yet - an alpha technology demonstration has just been released to the beta testers (I'm backing up my iPAQ in preparation for the install right now) but Inplay have a very ambitious timescale from alpha to release, so more information should soon be forthcoming

I have played Warring States and, you're right, it is a lot of fun. The only problem is you can't save a game so you must play from beginning to end. That can take some time.
