AT&T Releasing iPAQ with GPRS Technology?
This is 100% rumour, so don't believe everything you read, but my my this is interesting!
"The next big Smart Phone to be released by AT&T is a little different and falls into the second category. This new device, we will call "The Rock" for now (the true code name will be held in confidence until the FCC news breaks soon). "The Rock" as far as I know has not been FCC certified, so I will continue to look it up on a weekly basis. Here is some of the scoop on "The Rock": It will be manufactured by HP and labeled under the iPAQ brand. It WILL include an integrated QWERTY keyboard, a modular GPRS/EDGE and possibly a new technology as of yet not released..."
Go check out the rest of the story over at MPx200.org!

I've been waiting for a new Smartphone from AT&T but was hoping for an integrated camera. .
I didn't see one on this phone.
Anyone have more detailed specs?

This sounds like an awesome device... 8O A GSM/GPRS iPaq has been rumored to be in the works for a while now. Integrated camera would be nice... not too big a deal for me though. I hope it is true, and I hope T-Mobile picks up on it too!
Mmmmm, unlimited data for $19.99 on a GPRS iPaq. [droooooooool]
But the real question is... do I buy this when it comes out or wait for the OQO?

Yes, but unfortunately AT&T's GSM coverage is really spotty outside of a few markets. As a matter of fact, AT&T advised me not to go with their coverage since I travel to a lot of non-metropolitan areas. It will be a couple of years before they finish building their network.

But they did say another carrier was interested as well. Hopefully that other carrier is T-Mobile!
If this is at all true, that is....... :?

Sorry
Sorry, don't want it. Integrated keyboard means the unit will be BIG - like the 4350. If they can put it into a 19xx form factor, then they have a real winner. I won't accept anything bigger than a 4150. Not even a 2215.

Am I the only person who thinks that the 5000 design is really nice and the perfect size?!!
I would think it would be very practical in that size personally, and would definitely concider buying it if it was in the design (legacy options)
