It's Vacation Time - Mexico, Here I Come!
This post is going live at 4 AM on Saturday morning, which is the time I'm going to be falling out of bed and heading off to the Calgary airport. Once there, I'll be heading down to Nuevo Vallarta for a seven-day Christmas vacation with my family. I don't take vacations very often, and this is my first "Christmas Vacation", so I hope it turns out better than this movie I watched on Thursday night. ;-)
I'll be mostly offline - I'll be bringing my Smartphone, my iPAQ 4150, and my Fujitsu P5010D. I'm not planning on doing any "real" work, and even if I manage to get a GPRS signal with my Smartphone (does Fido have GPRS roaming agreements in Mexico I wonder?), I think I'll stay disconnected. So if you don't hear back on an email message, that's why. I'm going to enjoy myself, so don't destroy the place while I'm gone. ;-)

That's a great plan. Enjoy the nice warm sun. Our family has been talking about a Christmas vacation in Cuba. One of these years, I hope we actually do it.
Have a jolly good time!

Living here in the good ole USofA, a vacation in Cuba is out of the question but right now with the temperature and wind chill dropping everyday here in Michigan, I wouldn't mind stowing away in Jason's suitcase. I swear the sun never shines during the winter months here. Jason have a great vacation. Hope you snag some sun filled pics to share with us stuck here in the snow.

Ya, Canadians can travel to Cuba. It was one of the best vacations I've been on.
Never been to Mexico, but I've heard lots of good things about it.

Oh man, now Jason's not gonna want to come back at all. He's gonna move there and next we'll be seeing MexicoThoughts.com...

Jason,
A well-deserved vacation. My wife and I spent a week in Puerto Vallarta a few years ago and spent one of those days in Nuevo. It is a fantastic place to spend some time. If memory serves, Puerto is only a small cab ride away from Nuevo, and it's likely the closest place to do some shopping. If you find yourselves in Puerto Vallarta, I highly recommend a restaurant called Pi Pi's. Great mexican cuisine (and lots of it), with magarita's that will knock your socks off. And BTW, the service was FANTASTIC.
Enjoy your holiday with your family. You've earned it.
