Default PktWeather: Lightweight Weather Software For Your PC & Pocket PC

http://www.nespodzany.com/pktWeather/

Josh Nespodzany wrote in with his free, little ad-free application for both your desktop and Pocket PC: given your zip code, it gives you a small, compact weather report.

Unfortunately, the Pocket PC version only supports WM2003 for now, but he says a PPC2002 version is forthcoming, which sounds like a handy little solution to check the weather out on my i700 at short notice.

It looks like the app requires the Macromedia Flash player to be installed. It worked when I had the Flash player installed. When I removed the Flash player from my device, I just saw a white screen.

Default White Screen

I DID have the white screen with this and then I re-installed flash player (was already installed) and it seemed to fix it.

Default More to the point....

Does ANYONE have a Weather app for pocket pc that catches warnings? Would be nice when I am at home if I had it pluggin in and on if it could catch those warnings. Also nice for thos that use the MDA or the Samsung i700.

For a Today plugin that shows current conditions, forecasts and alerts, try Stocks & Weather Today www.rdfo.com/st You can just purchase weather functionality if you like. I'm not sure how well it works on phones though...

Anyone else having a problem with the close button. It only minimizes if I press a hardware button or closes when I use the Task mgr.

Default you will need the flash plugin

Hi i am the maker of PKT weather. You will need the flash plug in for mobile devices in order to get it to work. You can download it from here. http://www.macromedia.com/software/f...etpc/2002.html

thanks for the feedback
