Default VITO SoundExplorer v3.44 Released

http://vitotechnology.com/products/...ndexplorer.html

"SoundExplorer is a full-featured mp3/wav recorder and player that offers the most comprehensive and up-to-date set of tools suitable for professional and amateur use. It turns your PocketPC into full-scale digital dictaphone and mp3 player providing comfortable use and powerful tools for interviewing, lecture recording and music listening."

What's cool is that these guys keep on updating their programs. v3.44 now improves memory usage and recording reliability.

I would like to see a Windows Mobile device have the ability to plug in a stereo mic or inlcude a built in stereo mic. That would be a powerful recording device.

Is there a way to do audio input via the sync connecter? A line input would be nice.

Agreed!
We've been talking about this for 1+ year. A lot of hope was put into the input of the the 54xx but nothing came out of it

I wonder if the are any "breaks" in mp3 recording mode and how configurable it is. Guess there's a demo, eh?

Some of the iPaqs allow you to use the headphone jack as a line-in. Check this thread for more info: http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/foru...ght=microphone. Right now I have a Jornada, but I'd like to get one of these for this very reason!

I meant I'd like an ipaq to record, not bootleg I wonder if the RIAA cares whether it's OK with the band/artist or not?

This is getting out of control!!!

Of course, I'm SURE you were talking about what to wear at a concert, boots, tennis shoes, loafers, sandals, etc. If you wore a different kind on each foot, one of them might be your bootleg.

If you're interested in using your PocketPC PDA as a high resolution digital audio recorder (recording uncompressed WAV files at up to 24-bit/96 kilosamples per second), see Core Sound's PDAudio system:

http://www.core-sound.com/HighResRecorderNews.html

PDAudio is already supported by Pocco Software's "Wichita", Gidluck Mastering's "Live2496", and Resco's "Audio Recorder." It would be nice it VITO's "Sound Explorer" supported PDAudio too.
