conduits pocket player also does this, and imo does it better. GS player seems to drop the stream more often.

Can't you do this with WMP for PPC? I think I've streamed asx files before...am I missing something?

I guess the old adage "you get what you pay for" may be very appropriate here!

Pocket MVP does streaming as well. Both GSPlayer and PMVP allow you to adjust the buffer to avoid the skips.

As far as I am concerned, this story is pretty much old news. I think it would be better to compile a website of good streaming links because shoutcast stations are not to my taste.
Some WMP stations are streamable (if you can find an asx file), but Microsoft has dropped the ball when it comes to many of their PPC apps including WMP

I guess that now there is finally a reason to truly have and need the unlimited bandwidth option with Verizon

It doesn't stream other popular streaming formats like Shoutcast which many non-profit Internet Stations use.

What kind of files can PocketMVP stream? I would be interesting in trying this.

As far as anyone's concerned.. it's 6+ months old! I saw this when I first got WiFi last spring, and who knows how old it was then. The links to GS player are dead (and they're for v1.80, 1.90 is the latest).

Ah, there we go. Screenshot on 2nd page. March 10, 2003. Story was prolly posted that same day, or within a few days.

Shame on PPCT linking to an old story.
