Default New SQL Server CE Book by Rob Tiffany

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...5146496-5980755

Rob Tiffany, cofounder and chief technology officer of Hood Canal Systems, is at it again. His first book, "Pocket PC Database Development with eMbedded Visual Basic", did very well and now Rob gets a second title under his belt: "SQL Server CE Database Development with the .NET Compact Framework". Microsoft Program Manager Kevin Collins has written the foreword and the book provides lots of technical resources related to .NET Compact Framework, ADO.NET and SQL Server CE. It explains the intricasies of Remote Data Access and Merge Replication using both Visual Basic .NET and Visual C#.

Table of Contents:
1) Getting Started
2) ADO.NET
3) Query Analyzer
4) SQL Server CE Data Definition Language
5) Metadata
6) Data Manipulation Language
7) Operator Reference
8 ) Function Reference
9) Remote Data Access
10) Replication

Definately my next book to read!

Bummer - no free chapter on Amazon's site to serve as a teaser to the book. I'm always hesitant to shell out cash for a book without seeing just how detailed it is, and I've yet to see this one in my local B&N. It looks promising, but I guess I'll stick with the online docs for now.
