Default Calling on SF area residents

Calling on SF area residents

Hi,

Some of you may know about the OQO UltraPC, a PDA sized, desktop level device running WinXP Pro announced by a startup of the same name at WinHEC (Windows Hardware Engineering Conference), in April 2002.

Since then, the company founded by some top managers and engineers from Apple, IBM, Oracle, MIT, etc. kept silent on the device.

Meticulous researchers have found that the company has signed various agreements with suppliers (battery, case (LiquidMetal; you got to see what they do!!), display screens, digitizer, display chip, etc.).

Since the middle of 2002, a discussion group is active at Yahoo Groups.

OQO Ultra PC @ Yahoo Groups

I suggested there that somebody from the SF area visit the headquarters to find out more about the company and product development state.

But nobody from the list seems to live there.

So I'm calling you here, hoping some PDA/mobile users could be interested about that kind of device that is the size of a PDA but so much more powerful.

Could somebody living in the SF area go to OQO HQ and find more about the company and their product(s)?!

Find some information about the OQO Ultra PC and the company HQ address here:

www.oqo.com

Also they have a contact page with media & job inquiries email addresses, etc.

But their email activities have been quite too.

Therefore a personal visit would yield much better results!!

Thanks in advance.
