It looks like HP is going to be releasing a micro (thumb) keyboard for the 2210 and 4150 Pocket PCs. This might be a valuable addition to your toolset if you feel the 4350 is a little too long. There aren't any photos yet, but this would also imply the 4150 has a serial port and the standard iPAQ sync connector orientation (as compared to the 19xx units, which don't have serial and have the connector reversed). The keyboard is slated to be released on November 1, although Amazon has it listed for preordering. [Affiliate link]
Well with this I may decide to stick with the 2210 instead of making the jump to the 4350. If the 4350 had included 128MB of RAM then the decision would have been easy, but it is not as compelling to me now.
Exactly JonnoB, I loved the HP Pocket Keyboard on my Jornada 568 and it HP does it right with this one then I will save myself some serious cash in skipping the 4350 device.
I can't wait to see some pics and think $40 may be a steal!
I've never used a thumb board on any of my old ipaqs before.
Is it better for playing games in some emulators?
I find the joy pad on my 2210 is a bit dodgy sometimes, (e.g. skips 5 pages at once when reading a book in palm reader...but only sometimes)
I'd love gaming board to come out like the one that came out for the sony clies
I'd also be interested in this as gonzo would be if it helps to play certain games. I found that while looking at the the d-pad it would seem to be an accurate control it sometimes tilts in the wrong direction then what I desire.
