HP announces H4150 and H4350 both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled
"HP announced a range of new products during the ITU Telecom World conference, including new Windows Mobile based Pocket PCs, Bluetooth printers, and more. The new products range from wireless consumer devices to enterprise-class mobile office solutions to powerful technologies embedded deep in the mobile network. As part of the company's overall mobility initiative, HP is making specific news announcements in the areas of consumer devices, personalized services and content, and network infrastructure. HP's global services capability enables the company to integrate these elements into complete solutions anywhere in the world...."

I had some NDA information that I wasn't allowed to release until the 15th, but it seems HP didn't want to respect their own deadlines. Go check out the details on the new devices. You can pre-order the HP4155 from Tek 'n Toys, or the iPAQ 4355...once the Tek 'n Toys Web site is back up - it appears to be down right now. ops:

From Cnet talking about both the 4150 and 4350 screens:
"As noted, the transflective screen is the same one found on the H1940. Made by Sony, it's among the best available."
Hmmmm? There's way too many forums on every ppc website talking about the 1940 screen to want to make a comment like that! (whether its truly a big deal or not - the controversy makes it a big deal in a marketing sense...)

Ecost is selling the 4150 for $424 and the 4350 for $470.
Ok - no more posts from me. Can you tell I'm excited?

One thing I'm wondering about:
Where's the wifi antenna?
With my 5550, if it's sitting on the other side of my PC from the AP (~30 feet), it keeps dropping the connection but if I use my Orinoco Gold for wifi, there're no problems; if I use the naked iPaq elsewhere there are also no problems.
Unless the antenna is wrapped around the screen or something, these units are going to have very poor reception.

Wow, these are good prices. If only the 4150 had 128MB, they'd have a sell. Gotta hold out for the 5555. Think the price will come down on the 5555 now?

*sigh* I wish it would take CF, I like this device though. But, how about those guys at Pocket PC Italia? They projected this awhile back (although I thought it was going to be like the one we all saw in the "Top Secret" video). I don't wanna dig through the archives to find the link to the original Pocket PC Italia rumor, but I know someone will (I'm looking at you Janek).
