Default Old Tech To The Rescue

http://blogs.salon.com/0001772/2003/09/29.html#a189

"Chris came to my office after church yesterday, wanting to set a date to meet for coffee. I grabbed my fancy IPAQ PDA, only to discover that I had forgotten to charge the battery. I scribbled the time and place of the meeting on a yellow sticky note to remind me to enter it after the battery was charged..."

There is more to the blog entry at his site.

My first "PDA" was a Rexx, which had no data input. The case actually had a pad of paper one one side so you could write your notes during the day to be input when at a PC.

Default as much as i love

as much as i love technology i still use pen and paper quite frequently. I think it is just fast sometimes. Although less efficent i always loose a number after a couple of weeks on paper it stays for ever on my pocket pc. So i usually take a number on paper and put it on my pocket pc later (so the girl doesnt see how much of a geek i am before getting to know me.)

COOL 8)

That looks like one of them ol 3M PDA's with the large black and white writing area. Never goes out of style, runs forever and is even water resistant. I never really found out what OS it runs though.

Mine seems to interface really well with my PC, though after several weeks some entries tend to drop off --- the monitor that is!
