Default New Chinese Pocket PC Phone

http://appserver.legend.com/Product...productid=2918#

If you live in China and can get Legend products, you might want to check out this Pocket PC Phone.

It's dual-band 900/1800 GSM/GPRS, has 64MB of RAM and a 400MHz XScale processor. A Babelfish translation of the specs is available here. What's most immediately notable is the lack of a d-pad; obviously, Microsoft has been relaxing the restrictions on what Pocket PC Phones do and don't require. In fact, this is the second Legend Pocket PC Phone I know of; the first one that I posted on had a flip-down keypad design. Either way, can we get some more interesting designs in the rest of the world, please?

That thing looks like it has a slider to open up concealed keyboard - like the Palm Tugsten/Nokia 7650! Possible concealed d-pad/keyboard?? Or is that just a design feature?

Default perhaps

perhaps it has a pull down... If not i am sorry but no d pad would be like having a pocket pc with no screen. Although every pocket pc needs to learn to make a decent d pad... The worst part of pocket pc gaming is anything that requires that horrible d pad. (gameboys d pads work great... whats the problem?)

Because using chinese characters will requires the phone to have at least 80 buttons. he heh. And that is only to cover the simplified chinese characters.

It is a standard simplified Chinese phone, why do you think it is Japanese?

I wonder how does this little baby do handwriting recognition. I have this mental picture of smoke coming out, while this PPC Phone tries to process the Chinese handwriting.
