I Really Love My Covertec Case
Like many of you, I've tried and used dozens of different kinds of Pocket PC accessories, ranging from memory cards to GPS units. However, for me no accessory is more important than a good case. Maybe that's why I seem to always be on the lookout for the perfect Pocket PC case.
When I first got my Pocket PC Phone Edition, I quickly realized that the case that shipped with it was completely inadequate. Now that I've been using a leather case from Covertec for a while, I think I've found a case that suits my needs almost perfectly.
Here are the things I like the most about the Covertec case:
Design: The flip-up style gives me quick and easy access to the Pocket PC, which is important when trying to answer incoming calls. And, the magnetic clasp is very secure and holds the case shut tightly. I also like the interior pockets that have room for a couple of SD cards and a bunch of business cards. Access to all of the necessary device ports is provided via perfectly-placed holes; the case doesn�t fit into a synchronization cradle, but works great with the USB sync/charge cable I typically use.
Quality: I like the craftsmanship and materials used. The leather is very smooth, unblemished and supple and the stitching is even and neat. Every surface that touches the Pocket PC is perfectly scratch-free.
Size: I generally prefer cases that aren�t too big and bulky. The Covertec case has plenty of padding to protect the device, yet it�s still fairly thin. It still creates a bulge in my pants pocket, but the case is still a great balance between protection and size.
Price: Cases of similar quality from other vendors can cost upward of $50 or $60. The Covertec model is a very affordable $39.95.
Here are the things I like the least about the Covertec case:
Lack of belt clip: I don�t usually carry my Pocket PCs strapped to my belt, but since this one is also my mobile phone, I was disappointed that there�s no belt clip option available for the Covertec case. But, a bit of epoxy glue and $2.00 for a spare belt clip �nub� took care of this one minor complaint.
All in all, I can�t recommend this case highly enough. Its high-quality construction and intelligent design make me confident that I�ll wear my Pocket PC Phone Edition out long before I wear out this case.

This description sounds very much like the Piel Frama cases (which I  pclove: ) except mine shipped with a nub for a clip. What really surprised me when I received it was that the nub sticks out only about 1.5mm (the stem recesses itself into the case when not in use), compared to the nub on my mobile phone case which sticks out about 2.5 times as far. I actually use the clip from the phone case on my PF case as it's a wee bit more secure than the one that shipped with the PF case. And I tend to wear ever-so-slightly baggy pants anyway so dropping the PF case in my hip pocket isn't particularly noticeable, never mind tge nub being evident.
If I had known about the greatness of Covertec cases before I ordered my 5550, I most likely would have ordered one rather than the PF. However, PF cases have no logo on them which is an advantage imo. Some things I just don't want branding on, as discreet as it may be.

Covertec cases are awsome. I've tested most of the brands and ended up sticking with Covertec.
I've had a 2 cases (one for my "old" and already departed 1910 and another for my current 2215)
Both are excellent and extremelly well built. The build quality and the materials used is, in my opinion, the best I've seen so far. btw, this 2215 case comes bundled with an optional belt clip 
I've posted a mini-review with several pictures of my 2215 case here at BrightHand.
Anyway, I recently became a fan of hard cases so currently I'm using an aluminum case from Innopocket (pics + opinion here) but for leather case fans, Covertec is top notch

Agreed with the other comments ! Covertec from France are extremely well put together and their price is also a plus compared to other case manufacturers !! :lol:

That's funny Brad, I've just uploaded my review of Covertec's Smartphone case on PPCW.Net but the conclusion is the same: also the Smartphone version is highly recommended and I enjoyed it as much as you did!

I'm also a recent convert to Covertec. I had an Inooch case for my 3970, which I thought was perfect, but their 5000 case doesn't work quite as well; I think maybe the shape of the 5555 makes it hard for the magnets to hold securely (there's no strap).
I like the Covertecs a lot, and the price was reasonable enough for me to order two, a brown and a red. I accidentally ordered the brown one with a belt clip, which I don't use, but I was happy to see that, without the clip attached, the part of the case where it attaches is very unobtrusive (there's a leather circle, and the metal part doesn't stick out past the leather at all).
I still would prefer no strap if the front-side magnets would hold securely, but right now I'm using the Covertecs most of the time. Being a case junkie, I also just ordered a Casesonline zipper case, but I haven't got it yet and I think it's too big for everyday use anyway. I had a Vaja case for my 3600 and SS2, but I don't like the style of their 5000 cases as well so I haven't ordered one. I also had a Piel Frama 3900 case (I said I was addicted  ops: ), but found it a little too puffy for me.
For traveling, I've been using my old Vaja 3600/SS2 case; I took it to a cobbler and he made a cutout in the top for the antenna bit, and enlarged the reset hole to get it in the right place and it actually works quite well.
Recently I got a new super-slim SS3 from George M. He made it as thin as possible and I can just manage to get it into the Covertec case; I don't use it every day but it's great on planes, so I can use CF cards with movies. I don't know if it will stretch the case too much to then use it witout the SS, but, after all, I have two .
To round out my case collection, I have a couple of inexpensive zipper Fossil cases that I use at home, for reading in bed, etc. They fit the iPAQ with my PC slider, for plenty of battery power. They aren't custom made for any particular PPC, but I like them because they have no Velcro; they just have two elastic strips that fit at the top and bottom of the screen.
There used to be some talk of support groups for caseaholics like me!

My Covertec Case
I like the looks, but looking at the side of it, there is still quite a bit of the unit exposed. I think that would allowed for scratches if dropped.
I'm using the E&B case with my T-Mobile. It protects it all over. There is only one feature you have that I would really like on mine and that is the snap closure. I'm the one that told you about my Pomeranian spitting my SD card at my feet when I lost it.
P.S. I also have a belt clip.

I was glad that the Covertec case doesn't feel that way. Sometimes the designs that have the stiffened retainers that grip the device are more bulky than the ones that have a sleeve for it to fit in.

When I get the XDA II I hope I can find a case that lets me ansver and talk in the phone without having to opne the flap and look like a dork.. :wink:
