Big, Bigger, Bombastic
Out in the wild with your loved one? Looking for protection? Here's Armor 2600! Waterproof, crushproof. Respect, man! Kidding aside, one of my clients have tested this product for outdoor field service purposes and it works. Sure, it is big but if you have staff that needs to be out in woods in pouring rain with their Pocket PCs you can't have them run around with just screen protectors!
" easily use PDA through recessed, clear plastic screen waterproof & airtight crushproof secure stylus holder on outside of 2600 adjustable Velcro hand strap - easy to use with gloves IR (infrared) beam data floats lanyard attachment lifetime unconditional guarantee"

Er...
One question: why?
Who's route home involves a trek through the rain forest?
And it's all very good it being crush proof but the moment you take it out your pocket an eagle or something will steal it and drop it from a great height killing small children. Well... what I mean is once you remove your pocket pc from the sterile everything-proof case you'll be doomed to break it: its just sod's law!
Who seriously wants to check their e-mails whilst scubadiving off the coast of Barbados!?
All this being as it is, people will buy it. :S
Hmm...
Bluetooth wouldn't work particually well underwater...

What happens if you are doing a survey in the wilderness looking for rare... goats!
You want to you use your PPC to record the facts, but its pouring with rain, lucky I had this pretector you'll say!
What happens if your working on a farm and you have all your cows names stored in your contacts and you need to look one up? Out the PPC comes... oops dropped it and a cow has troden on it! lucky I had this case preventing it from being crushing you'll say!

Couple of reasons specific for me.
1) I geocache, PPC would be useful, but I don't ususally take it because it could take a real beating.
2) I do a lot of work in the garage/yard. I could use it for lists/calculations/etc. This would protect it.
Other reasons -
Poolside/Beach Use
Unfortunately, it is priced a little higher than I would like for irregular use. But for industrial use, I think the price is great and it makes for a nice product.

I've used one of these cases for about year now with my e740. Travelling to from work everyday, holidays etc its survived drops bangs and getting wet more than a few times without a scratch.
It may be a bit big but at least if your going to have an accident you stand a very good chance of not destroying your PPC!
Just bought my e750 and transfered it to the armor case and fit like a charm. Got a few more years left in it
Bought mine here :

Saved myself a few quid as well even with shipping from the states and VAT! Retails in the UK for over 60

This would be great for Mapopolis on a mortorcycle, with a bluetooth GPS.
They sell a bluetooth GPS case, that's just a rugged.

I used to have a case like this one (an otterbox) but it was fully closed. I still have it, and still hate it. But unless you need to dive with your PDA, is useless. Its really bigger than expected.
But it can be good to keep your money while diving. I used it at my last holyday...

Why :?:
Easy, because it lets me read ebooks while I'm relaxing in the pool, in the bathtub, or at the beach. 8) My ipaq is protected against water and sand. I have been using one of these for 18 months with my ipaq3850, 3950, and now my 2215. It is wonderful.
