Dead Awake: An Original Movie for the Pocket PC
Pocket PC Thoughts community member danmanmayer wrote in: "I have been a long time reader and finally finished a 32 minute long film and thought sharing it with a community I have been a part of would be a good place to start. I include a version of the movie Dead Awake in a pocket pc format."
From the moviepage: "The film was originally intended to show the power and beauty of dreams. Dreams were used in the movie to show one of the many escapes people use in life. The movie ended up being a little darker than originally intended and focused more on the escapism of dreams rather than their raw beauty. The character isn't intended to be highly depressed, just choosing a different way of life."
So go check the Dead Awake movie site, and download the Pocket PC version to view on your Pocket PC. For people wanting to see this on the big screen, you can download a version for your desktop as well. Please read the download instructions: try to pick from the main and mirror sites at random, and do *not* stream the content, but save the target with respect to the bandwidth for Dan. And post your reviews in this thread, I'm sure Dan would love to hear what you think of his movie.

Dead Alive II?
OK, I know this is irreverant and off-topic, but...
Was I the only one that hoped this was a fan-made sequel to Dead Alive? That movie rocked. I saw it at a Halloween marathon a few years ago. Lots of blood, gore, and a priest that kicks butt.

Dan - great job! Very cool concept. The editing was very fluid and I like the way you cut to the music. Thanks for the pocketPC version as well

Really cool video. I actually watched it on my ipaq 8)
For a while it reminded me of Waking Life... that movie is awsome. I was kinda expecting some kind of realization at the end. But anyway, I enjoyed it very much. Good work!

OK, now I've actually spent the time to watch the complete movie on my iPAQ 2210. Excellent work, Dan. Pretty cool that your dream to make this movie came true.
