Default Our Pal pt Does Japan in July

http://www.insomedia.com/japan7/

Philip Torrone, a.k.a. "pt", loves gadgets. So when he goes to Japan, he always has a lot of fun checking out what's new. Here's what he found (lowercase description all pt's):

"japan in july...docomo just launched the 505 series of phones. the ones i was able to check out were the d505i with fingerprint scanner which is just used to protect the phone. the so505i from sony ericsson with 180 flip around screen, scroll bar and 1.3 megapixel camera. i could talk about the japanese phone arena for days, but i'm not going to...just pictures. as usual i ate some cool stuff you can't get in the states. speaking of consumables, one thing that i really liked-- a new trend in japan, which was to use these new type of eye drops. these eye drops are "minty" it's hard to explain, basically when you use these, it's as if you eyes have a tongue and you just used mouthwash, on your eyes, um - it's just amazing. i got a chance to see some of the early sony aibo robot pet prototypes, cool stuff.

the new sony vaio is nice, very ibook-ish looking. visiting the sony store this trip was pretty exciting, the new clie was there and gosh it looks pretty sweet. the updated os is very multi-media-ish, very cool. it's a bit larger than the pictures on the web let on, so it's not pocket-able, but then again, none of the high end-clies are, lots of people dig that, so it's all good. saw the qualia sony digital cam, perhaps the smallest coolest digital camera on the planet, it's no bigger than a memory stick duo and has a touchscreen on top. let's see, what else? fuzzy robot dogs, nail painting robot machines...feel free to check out the rest of the pics."

All those gadgets add to the drool factor! :shocked!: Except the "minty eyedrops."  The new Toshiba pocket pc almost makes you want to switch to the dark side even though you know they'll probably leave you out in the cold for the next upgrade. But the screen is enormous. And the new vaio looks like it might be worth it's probable $5000 pricetag

Is pt the same as MoM?

Minty eye drops, what'll those crazy Japanese think of next

EDIT: Oh man, from the pics I'd really thought those fuzzy robot dogs were real! (Now getting suspicious of Jason's "dog")

My wife has those minty eyedrops. They are a blast.

The qualia is available on Dynamism. You can't afford it. Well, I am sure someone on PPCT can but chances are....

I don't get the idea of a flavored eyedrop.
