Microsoft Reports Increased Mobile Division Revenue
Microsoft just reported a strong last quarter. Total revenues are up 11 percent over the same quarter last year. Obviously, our main interest relate to Microsoft's Mobile Division. The quarter's revenue is reported to be $44 million, up from $36 million in the same quarter last year. The Mobile Division's revenue grew more than total revenues! Relatively speaking...
While this is GREAT news and we congratulate everyone involved in making this happen, we need to stay focused on customer needs and competition. The last quarter, Nokia mobile phone sales "rose by 2% year on year, broadly in line with previous guidance, reaching EUR 5.5 billion".

That's good news that the Mobile Division's revenues are up, but did they make a profit/break even or are they still operating in the red?

I note the quote in the article is

I wasn't aware that MS sold a single PPC or Smartphone. :? Probably the same division that manufactures the Tablet PCs and markets them under various non-MS brand names.
