Default Cerience's Repligo Viewer Free

http://www.cerience.com/pages/news/071703.htm

It seems Cerience is following Adobe's Acrobat model - sell the publishing software and give the viewer away for free. I think this is great news for those that want to easily publish all kinds of information and not worry about the client. Repligo viewers are available for the Pocket PC, PalmOS, the Nokia 3650/7650 phone, Sony Ericsson P800 phone, all MS Smartphones (standards has advantages huh? ) and Windows desktops.

The publishing and conversion software for Windows desktops is between $24.95 and $29.95. You can also add the button below to your web site encouraging people to download the viewers so they can take your content with them. Over the air downloads are available at their site.

I've been using Repligo on my Pocket PC for several months now and love it. It is the perfect method to transfer long memos, web pages, Adobe PDF files and just about anything else you want to read or view on your device. I'd love to see this take off as a standard for mobile content distribution, and given the quality of the software and the number of platforms supported, I'd say Cerience is on the right track.

RepliGo runs circles around Acrobat Viewer. And it's so tiny and fast, too! And you can view your PDFs in it, too!! (albeit with the obligatory conversion). Adobe has tanked in the Pocket PC market, as far as I'm concerned.

I've been using Repligo for a few months and it is one of my four core applications.
Version 1.1 for PPC is a a really good product if you need to view your documents on the go.
One of the things I like about this company is that they are easy to communicate with. They have a great forum and always seem to listen to input from users.
Great product, cool company.

Agreed with all the above sentiments. Cerience should keep on pushing -- they've got fantastic competition to Adobe's Acrobat. Not only is Acrobat bloated on the Pocket PC, it's bloated on the desktop too. I can't count how many times I've crashed ACROBAT.EXE. ukeface:

Oh, and those of you curious about trying RepliGo (the publishing part) -- I warn you, you might not be able to turn back and may be forced to buy it.

I agree; an excellent utility for converting documents and webpages on the fly.

However, one thing that i've been wondering how to do is how to read the text on a website. For example, the other day I converted Dellnet by MSN, and I wasn't able to read the entire page's contents in the proper format. I was able to zoom in and out on the page, and I was able to read the page's contents.

It seems like I found it useful for snapping webpages with very little information, or to show a quick page layout of the site. Correct me if i'm wrong; is that not what you use Repligo for?

Did you try flowed mode in the RepliGo viewer? That's what it makes it so worthwhile.

I've personally never had problems with reader, but creating PDFs is still a nightmare.

This is great news. I've really been angry at Adobe for not having a good product on the PPC, now I can use Repligo and my clients can view the documents without having to pay. Very smart!

I tried Flow mode, but Repligo is still confused as to what to show first.

If theres two crucial features they should add to the program, its that they should have the ability to have the pages showed pageless. It really gets annoying when you have 15 pages and you're sorting through them all on Flowless mode or some other mode.

Also, I really do wish there was a way Repligo could covert documents on the spot on the PPC. How many times are you at your computer, and how many times are you on your PPC wirelessly browsing?

A n00b question, but I take it Repligo works like Acrobat and there is a reader for Desktop in addition to PPC? Also can I see the docs on a Mac?
