WISbar Advanced Released
There's just an FTP site up for now, no real information, but Pelmar has released "WISbar Advanced" - and I have no clue what it adds.

Check the Pelmar forums for more info. It skins the bottom menu bar for one. Notification icon should be working as well.

I just switched from Wisbar to icbar about a month ago and have been happy with the extra button config options in icbar. I guess I will have to revisit wisbar now.

Isn't it so rough when you have all these choices?

I was hoping WA would resolve the issues for PPCPE users but after testing it, it still does not work well on HTC devices. If you don't mind losing the ability to tell when notifications are present, and signal strength indicator, then it works fine. There is options to help with this but the don't work well. Using a Static icon for notifications still leaves the user in the dark as to whether there really is a notification )without having to press the static icon). Then using the dynamic icon allows the real taskbar to show thru when you click on any other icon. On that same note, I see the real taskbar's time showing thru the skin...how does that happen? And if you turn on the 'update constant" feature...look out! the taskbar just starts flickering all over the place.
I really hoped I could use WA when it came out....but today I am

k so i installed it and basically it seems like it's mostly a cosmetic change for regular wisbar. plus it messes with the look a lot more, and i really like the clean look of the PPC without a task switcher. regular wisbar can be easily configured to not mess with the default look really easily so i'll just stay with it.

actually I have tried all of the task switchers available and pocket plus by SPB works the best, but that does nothing for skinning. One of the original concepts of wisbar advance was to make it like vbar so that it only covered the close button. In fact, the author of WA posted mock-up screen shots a long time ago of what could be made. Then there was rumor of it being able to skin parts of the taskbar, like the start button and the close button. As we can see now, it's basically got the same features and drawbacks that wisbar had.
