RepliGo 1.1 for Pocket PCs Released
RepliGo has released version 1.1 of their popular document viewing solution (think Acrobat, but much faster and smaller). New features include built-in landscape mode, HP mobile printing support, better page navigation, and the keeping of document state (e.g., it remembers what page you were last on, and returns to it).
This is huge news to me. They've already fixed two of the major issues that I had with the product. The third major issue, lack of a desktop viewer, is rapidly in the process of being fixed: they also released beta 2 of the desktop viewer today. It's good to see a company listen to customer feedback and rapidly incorporate improvements!
(Existing users: note that, according to the press release, you must first uninstall the old version before installing the new one.)

well...
the only think i dont like is the landscape mode doesnt add much since it leaves the upper and lower tool bars -- the size is about the same as vertical. they should have made it full screen and the tap-and-hold menu could be used for changing settings in that mode.
otherwise its one of the best programs for the pocket pc!

RepliGo does support full screen, although this is something you must switch on separately from landscape mode. Was it your desire that full screen mode happens automatically when you choose to rotate the view?

You should really the the system tweak making the toolbars smaller . If you - like me - aren't much of a registry edit guy, download PocketTweak (freeware) and it'll do it for you! I use width=9, height=11, that leaves my toolbars slim, but still not to hard to hit with a tap.

Did you try tap-and hold? Mine has two menu options:
 Full Screen
 Rotated

Fantastic job, Cerience! I really like all of the improvements you made to RepliGo. You are now in top 10 - or even top 5 - best Pocket PC applications, in my opinion.
But please do not stop there. Here are the things I would like to see in the next version 1.2:
- Ability to see inline images when in Flawed view. These images should automatically resize to fit the screen width when switching to Flawed view, but the user should have the ability to zoom in and pan around the images,
- Ability to select Storage Card (or Storage Card2, or iPaq File Store, or whatever) as the destination for RepliGo file on Pocket PC (something like what iSilo or HandStory offers now),
- Ability to choose image quality before generating RepliGo file. I think now the color depth is reduced to keep the file size small and this is very good. But the user should have an option (setting for RepliGo printer maybe) to choose high-quality (64,000 colors) if so desired.
- Ability to add bookmarks, annotations and drawings (similar to MS Reader).
- Ability to optionally set RepliGo viewer to automatically switch to full screen when changing screen orientation to landscape.
Once all these are incorporated, you will have an absolute killer application.
Cheers,

I'd even be happy with image placeholders in the text view that you could tap on.
And find. We need a search tool.

This is great news! I will be using RepliGo even more now.
The only feature I really, really want added is bookmarks. With that addition, RepliGo would be one of the most useful PPC apps on the market...
