Default iPAQ 5400 Updates - Digital Concepts Bust'em and Peace Maker Pro 1.25

HP has released two software updates for the iPAQ 5400 series. The first is Digital Concepts Bust'em version 1.21. Ok, I admit, I have no clue what that is. Is it a game that came on the 5400's CD?

The second is Conduit's Peacemaker Pro 1.25.

Whilst I can see these from your links they don't appear to be on the list of updates (yet). :? I've been watching this for a rumoured BIOS update to supercede 1.10.xx.

Ahh well, that's because, like me, you've been looking for updates for the 5450. This one is for the 5455!! If you search again using 5455, you'll find it.

Don't know why, as far as I know the two units are identical. Must be some sort of licencing issue with Conduits, meaning they want to restrict it to certain teritories?

Already thought of that. When I searched for 5455 I got this which (at time of writing) doesn't list these. Very odd. :?

Strange, very strange! You're looking at a different list to me. I'm looking here, and it's listed for the 5455 but not the 5450.

Oh well, it's no big deal - it's only a trial version anyway.

Default 5455 vs 5450

Greetings,

Indeed, HP has posted this version of Peacemaker Pro only for IPAQ 5455 devices. It is a licensed copy for that device only. The 5455's (or any XXX5 model for that matter) are HP's "retail" devices -- i.e. the ones you see at Amazon, Best Buy, etc. All others (XXX0) are the bulk and wholesale units. The different packages have differing bundles of software.
