Duke Nukem targets Pocket PCs
"One of the undisputed smash hits of the 90s is now on its way to Pocket PCs, courtesy of independent developer Frank Pennault. Next after Doom, one first-person shooter drew particular interest from gamers on the PC platform in the 90s: Duke Nukem 3D. As a new and updated version of the game - sporting a real 3D engine, as opposed to the original's faux pax solution - is being prepared for the PC platform, the original version has found its way to the Pocket PC platform courtesy of independent developer Frank Pennault."
I have some fond memories of this game...

I have dreamed of this day seriously... I always knew if it ran doom it could run duke nukem. But there was no source... Then about 2 months ago the source to the game was released... I thought someone will do it they have to they just have to... I even downloaded it myself and tried to see if i could try. It was above my head... Today is a wonderful day and now i can search the web for all the wonderfull mods that i had in the past and play duke nukem on the pocket pc. I SCREAM THANKS TO Frank Pennault.

a lot of discussion about this Doom page. It could be a fake prank page, since he doesn't reply the email at all, and there are questions about the screenshoots.

Ohhhh man.. I remember Duke all the way back to he first 2D adventures. I still have every single Duke Version, including all the originals, Duke 3d Atomic edition, Beach edition, I am a die hard fan. Finally it's coming to pocket pc, praises definitely go out where they are deserved. I don't want to sound too exctied, but this definitely made my day, I'm smiling right now in anticipation lol. :rock on dude!: Hail to the King, baby! lol oldschool...

I don't see FPS games like this as being too much fun on PPCs (low FPS, limited controls), but it's pretty cool nonetheless.
Duke3 was awesome for after-hours office gaming... I fondly remember those nights of yelling and falling-out-of-chairs-from-laughing-so-hard... there's nothing like using the shrink-ray on your coworker and watching him desperately try to run away before you squish him. Or hearing the profanities after your coworker comes around the corner and sets off your laser trip-wire... or when you set off a field of planted R/C explosives as he runs through it. Or dancing in front of your frozen coworker and then shattering him with a kick just as he was about to thaw. Hee.
It's weird... that continued pretty much every night with Quake1 and Q2, but for some reason became less frequent with Q3 and Half-Life and hasn't happened at all for a couple years (I don't even have any FPSs installed).
Oh the nostalgia...
Hey, maybe we could settle some of our PPC debates with some good-old-fashioned deathmatch

I have some not-so-fond memories of this game, especially the portions of it that were virtually pornography.

This was a mature game for mature gamers. I wouldn't recommend it for young kids. On that note this is why i fully support the right to not play any video game that offends you. So if you have not-so-fond memories why did you play the game. I guess this might be off topic, but I don't understand how you would have memories of something that you shouldn't have done... Maybe i am confused and someone did force you to play... hehe Anyways everyone is offended by something so people do have to draw their own line.

It's fake. I'm surprised PocketPCThoughts wants a reputation of posting erroneous information and obviously not checking the validity of the information.

I ran a bunch of searches. Can you provide a link saying as much?
