Well, let the gap shrink on then. SplashData's SplashWallet Suite was one of the few things I missed when I changed from Palm to Pocket PC. The fact that their selling it for $9.95 (Intro Price) is great too. Gotta try it. Hope they port over the rest of the Suite.

What would you say are your favourite featured about this photo viewer? What makes it useful? My ulterior motive is that I'm working on major update to Spb's image viewer, and I want to understand how the competition works. :-)

Just love ulterior motives. Competition keeps this going.
SplashPhoto had a very clean layout and easy to use GUI. The desktop picture editor was simple and to the point, cropping, resizing, and picture rotation features. It was also able to adjust the contrast and brightness nothing really intricate but it did the job well. Transferring pictures was a breeze; once the preferences where set it saved the picture until you were ready to copy them to your Palm Handheld. Then the software did the work fast and easy. But it is a very simple program. The enthusiast or professional photographer will want more than this can offer.

Glad to be of help. If Spb can make me give up the iPAQ Image Viewer then it will be worth the wait. On a side note I installed the PPC version of SplashPhoto and found that it is the same as the Palm OS version. They simply brought it over to the PPC; didn't leave anything out but they didn't add anything either. I like choices though and think that a picture viewer should have a decent amount of these especially for setting up a slide show and not just by category either which is where SplashPhoto is lacking the most IMHO. Pocket PCs have hi-resolution screens and 200 to 400MHz processors for small devices and picture viewers should be able to take advantage of that. After seeing that I realized that they have not grown with the consumer. The program has remained just about the same since it was created.

Hmm...this is interesting. I just tried my serial number for the PalmOS version...and it WORKED on the PPC version! 8O

I had noticed the same thing. Seems like they didn't change the coding for the serial number either.
