Toshiba E335 for only $125 US after Rebates
Amazon is selling the Toshiba E355, a 64 MB, 300 Mhz Pocket PC, for $249.99 US. After the Amazon rebate of $25, and the Toshiba rebate of $100, the device is only $125. Wow! 8O Full details on the rebates can be found on Ben's Bargain Center. As per normal, this offer is only good for those within the US. [Affiliate]
UPDATE: My mistake, it's an E335, not a E355.

Incredible price! But I wouldn't buy any PPC 2002 device just yet. Not with a new OS coming in just weeks...or less.

Possibly later this month, or early next. No firm date has been disclosed.

I suppose this means that there won't be an upgrade provided from Toshiba for the new OS like they didn't support the drivers for their keyboard on the E310 when it was discontinued?
People who only paid half price for a PPC are not as likely to demand or even expect such support. Just as likely Toshiba has seen the new Axim X3 and expects it to sell for the semi-announced price of $150.
Still $125? WOW, has any so desirable a PDA ever sold for that little? So far as I know there is nothing wrong with them, just a few, very few months past the current state of the art. If it had CF that would use my old cards I might just try one myself.
I read on PDA Buzz and Slick Deals that some of these were sold by Staples recently for $69. Staples discounted 10% from the regular price of $300, then offered another $100 rebate on top of Toshiba's $100 rebate. I will be surprised though if all those rebates were real and pay off.

Does this suffer from the infamous button delays?

Well, considering it's a small hop in price from a Zire, I'd say it's the deal of the PDA market right about now (New OS forthcoming or not.).

Not so on E355
If you go to Amazon site you find it lists an E335 not a e355 as posted in Thoughts. Also, Amazon got their own totals wrong. Instead of it being $124.95 they added up the total to be $224.95. So perhaps there really is a mistake in the rebate, or a mistake in the model number, or a total mistake in an offer like $125 for an E355, it must be for the E335. I have not seen the E355 for sale anywhere in the US at this point.
