Default EverQuest for the Pocket PC: War on Faydwer

http://www.handango.com/brainstore/...productId=68096

"Something is amiss on the continent of Faydwer. Whispers of war have spread like wild fire among the Dwarves, Elves and Gnomes. What could be driving these peaceful races to the brink of destruction? Will hundreds of years of harmony and peace be crushed forever? In the third chapter of EverQuest for the Pocket PC, War on FaydarTM, you must answer these questions and more. Visit Kaladim, the mine city of Dwarves; Kelethin, the city in the trees; Ak'Anon, the city of Gnomes, and Felwithe, the city of High Elves. Battle monsters in Butcherblock Mountains, Steamfont Mountains, the Faydark Forests, and Dagnor's Cauldron. The fate of Faydwer rests in your hands. Are you up to the challenge?

EverQuest for the Pocket PC: War on Faydwer is a stand-alone product. EverQuest Chapter 1 or 2 are not required to play. This version includes: Four playable character classes. Dozens of new monsters, weapons and spells. Side quests that deviate from the main story. Chests that can now contain either treasure or monsters. A whole new story that allows you to bring in characters from EverQuest for the Pocket PC: Attack On Qeynos or create characters from scratch."

Actually, the hand held version and the PC version (even the PS2 version) are so dissimilar, that one addiction is VERY unlikely to carry over to another... at least in my opinion... I'm a recovering PC EverAddict, and tried the mobile version for a while... didn't like it at all just out of dissappointment. Now playing the PS2 version for entertainment (it's easier to play without getting hooked when you don't have 5 friends and 8 coworkers playing on your server), and it's a whole new experience.

Meanwhile, I'd like to pay my respects:
Callico Crysaetos (Leaves of Thorn), 38 Druid of the Torv server, Jan 5 2002 - April 6 2002 RIP
Kallerelle Crysaetos, 24 Paladin of the Torv server, Sept 8 2001 - April 6 2002 RIP

Actually I'm glad they made the PPC version of Everquest more like a Diablo hack N slash game. Its fun to play for two hours when you want to pass time and the quests are varied enough that you don't get bored just hacking N slashing. I liked EQ for the PC but didn't have enough time to sit at my PC just playing EQ on a cosistent basis to get anywhere in the game. The PS2 version is fun and simplified from the PC version enough that allows a larger audience to pick up and play when they want but sometimes it seems a little too dumbed down, IMO. The PPC version lets you play when and where you want and you can play for any amount of time and not have to feel like you are behind everyone else.

Just my 2 cents and I'm not making change.
