Laridian Adds Several Versions and Daily Reading Programs - Many Free!
http://www.laridian.com/default.asp?ref=apwzwtzws
Laridian has a lot of updates this morning at their site. First up is the Amplified Bible. "The Amplified Bible is a translation that, by using synonyms and definitions, both explains and expands the meaning of words in the text. It does this by placing amplification in parentheses and brackets after key words or phrases. This unique system of translation allows you to more completely grasp the meaning of the words as they were understood in the original languages. Through amplification, you will gain a better understanding of what the Hebrew and Greek listener instinctively understood (as a matter of course)." You can see a sample of this in the image below. It is $14.99 and requires 2,920KB of storage space.

Other new additions to the Laridian library include: Revised Standard Version - $4.99 and requres 2,120KB of storage space. World English Bible - Free and requires 2,210KB of storage space. American Standard Version - Free and requires 2,200KB of storage space. Darby's New Translation - Free and requires 2,700KB of storage space. Young's Literal Translation - Free and requires 2,180KB of storage space. Laridian Reading Plan for the Daily Reader program - Free and requires 212KB of storage space. Morning and Evening readings for the Daily Reader program - Free and requires 212KB of storage space.
Note that you will probably need to download an updated Pocket Bible from your library if you are a returning customer to work with some of these versions. All links above are affiliate links. You can bypass them if you desire by going to this link. This is the excuse I've been looking for folks. 512MB SD card is being ordered! :way to go:

I would have been the king of Bible study academia if I'd had these kinds of tools when I was in seminary. (I was tempted to say that I'd have given my left **expletive deleted and SOOOO inappropriate!)
The WEB and literal translations are going to be so helpful.
Better go get them before the bandwidth battle begins.

Right, time to break out the old wallet and let the credit card have it. Time to get some new books. 8)

You aren't kidding, their site has been slow all morning. They also just released version 3.0 of MyBible for Palm devices which supposedly has Hi-Res+ support for devices like my CLIE NX70V.
I was just asked to become an elder at my church and can't wait to install some more of these AWESOME resources on my devices.

8O Downloaded all the freebies in addition to a few new updates to the existing readers/Bibles...I have so many Bible translations and resources on my PDA that if I had to carry them all as books, I would need a wheelbarrow/waggon...Now all I need is for Laridian to add highlighting to the Bible reader and allow you to create your own reading plans for the Daily Reader and I'm set. Congrats palmsolo on your promotion. That's a big increase in responsibility w/i the church.
