EUU3 for Toshiba e310 -- Now in US
The chapter can finally come to a close! Toshiba, after many months, finally posted EUU3 for the e310 on their US website (previously, it was only available on their Canadian website). There also appears to be a USB driver update available, although the site doesn't explain what it does.

I'm afraid this update comes too little, too late. I suspect that the people that needed the upgrade risked upgrading from a non-Toshiba EUU3. Besides, there doesn't appear to be anything added to this update that the "generic" EUU3 didn't have. :?

You're probably right, but at least this shows that Toshiba hasn't done what everyone has feared and completely abandoned the e310 users. Too little, too late will always be better than too little, never.

That's true. But I think it's too much to hope that my e310 will be offered a PPC 2003 upgrade.

although i don't own this device, i personally would care less toshiba finally offered the EUU. What i'd be worried about is if they'll provide an update to the next OS (or even for the e330). You can't use a compaq OS on a toshiba...

Finally! I've been reluctant to upgrade because it would void the warranty. Now I can upgrade and it it goes kaput they fix it.
Still will go with another company in the future though.

I guess this is good news, except that I'm so out of the loop that I don't know what's in EUU3 anyway.
I'm almost intrigued by that USB update, though. The file description mentions that it's for Toshiba notebook PCs, and hey, I just happen to have a Toshiba Sattelite and a Toshiba e310. Unfortunately, the Toshiba sync cable is permanently attached to the cradle, and there's no way I'd lug that bulky thing around with my notebook. Besides, with the notebook I can sync by infrared, so why would I need a USB driver for the PDA anyway?
