Intermec Rugged PPC - With Multiple Radios
"Intermec Technologies today announced a Pocket PC that can run on both general packet radio service (GPRS) and code division multiple access (CDMA) 1xRTT networks. The Intermec 760 Color device integrates three radios that support wireless local area networks (LAN) via 802.11b, personal area networks (PAN) via Bluetooth, and wide area networks (WAN) via either GPRS or CDMA."
Unfortunately, Intermec doesn't seem to have any details on their website, although they do have a press release. I wish they could release a consumer version of this!

I'm sure they would release a consumer version if they thought more than 50 people would be interested in paying $3000 for it. ;-)

The following link describes the "700 series". The 760 is just one of the "family" that includes this particular set of options. It's a strange numbering system but they seem to like it!

I agree, this has potential. I mean, there's the Siemens ME45, the Nokia 5210 and 5100 for handphones, how about a rugged PDA?
And check the specs of the 700.. 2x2000mah batteries! =D
