Default Personal Journal by ParaBasic Development

http://www.handango.com/PlatformPro...productId=62622

"Maintain a diary or journal of your personal thoughts and feelings. Record current events and store a picture with each Journal Entry. Support for up to 24bit color BMP's and JPG's. Support for 8bit color GIF and BMP's. Store virtually unlimited records on your Pocket PC and have Sherman take you back via the Way Back Machine today!"

This software was written by a fellow Pocket PC Thoughts reader, so I thought I'd post on it. If you need to keep track of things and want to use photos, this would be a cool little app to use and keep it all in one location. [Affiliate]

Default Ugh! ANOTHER Journal app that does NOT sync with Outlook

CLC Journal, though it has problems, is to date the ONLY full-featured (PI isn`t there yet) journal app that syncs with Outlook. The picture feature is unique and sounds cool, but I`ll take sync over bells and whistles any day.

Sounds like a nice program. Does it compile all the entries into one file are does it keep the files in a directory?

Default I wonder if it's like PocketPC LogBook...

Back when I first got my HP 548, I found the coolest app, but I've never been able to get in contact with the author.

At first glance, this application looks similar - I'm gonna try it and see.

The PocketPC Logbook is described on this excellent web page: http://www.kaibab.org/gc/pocketpc/pocketpc.htm.

This is a true database app, so it stores everything in a table in your WindowsCE/ Pocket PC data store.

This isn't like PI, which syncs with your Outlook Journal. This is a diary application.

Default Voice memo?

Does it have audio recording support? I think that would be useful more often than a picture. Like driving in a car.

No. It doesn't currently support the insertion of Audio files. This app was packaged with VisualCE Enterprise 7.0a. VCE doesn't currently support that, altho I will pass it on to Syware and see what they have to say.

No. The app doesn't currently come in a trial mode because VisualCE doesn't support any kind of code that would prevent the use of the app after a given time frame has passed. I'm not exactly sure that they envisioned VCE being used for retail purposes...

However, the application is reasonably priced, and I feel that the descripton and screen shot adequately describe what it can do. Since the price point of this app is so low, you arent' risking a lot, either.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Default Interesting

Howdy, it looks interesting but i wonder how well it works. I am saying that because journal writing for me is a very personal thing. So why I love using pda's i do have a preference on journal writing. I would like one that can sync wiht any program i choose, or with outlook, word, etc.
