Geekzone Continues Bluetooth Guides
Brad reported on Geekzone's Bluetooth Internet connection guide for iPaq 3970s a couple of weeks ago. David Hettel has added two more articles to their collection, including instructions on both surfing and ActiveSync with the 5450. Even if you don't have either iPaq, you might find the articles useful.

Wow. These guides are almost all screenshots, which is great.
I recently got a D-Link USB BT USB adapter and I must have spent an entire weekend trying to get my 3870 ActiveSync'ing via BT before I finally got it to work (I was convinced I'd have to return the BT USB adapter).
Setting up WiFi felt much more intuitive.

Well, it's more ActiveSync's fault than anything. They have a very narrow notion of what a COM port is, which leads to a lot of trouble.
But let me not start an ActiveSync bashing thread

That's true. The solution ultimately was in finally figuring out how to align my COM ports correctly.

No worries... that thread seems to get started anew each week... it practically writes itself!!
