Beta Testers Needed For Sprite Pocket Backup
http://www.spritesoftware.com/pocket_backup_2_beta.html
In case you haven't already seen this post from Sean, Sprite Software is looking for a few more people to help beta test v2.0 of their Pocket Backup application.
This version includes the following features (new for version 2) -
Backup to host PC or Network Share via ActiveSync or any form of wireless networking Initiate backup and restore operations using the PC agent Considerable speed improvements for Backup and Restore using SD and CF cards Today Screen plugin that displays Backup status as well as battery and storage space levels. Advanced Storage Analysis tools Simplified user interface Create self-extracting backup files
I really like the earlier version of this software, so you might want to take Sprite up on the offer. If you can provide some useful feedback, Sprite will give you a free license once the final product is released.

I have been using version 2a of the new beta....VERY nice. I am excitied to try this new version out.
I don't believe it will be a free upgrade for the Ipaq users. But even if not, I will be purchasing it.
Thanks
Thanos

This was posted by one of the Sprite staff on the public beta notice board last monday:
Quote:
If you buy 1.1.0.5 you are eligable for a free upgrade to Pocket Backup 2.0 (as are all iPAQ Backup and 1.x users). Pocket Backup will not contain the remote backup, today screen or storage analyser.
These extra features will be available in a new product called Pocket Backup Plus which will expect to be $10US more than Pocket Backup. However, all Pocket Backup 1.x and iPAQ Backup users will be able to upgrade to this for $10 and will not need to purchase the full price software.

The new features certainly seem woth the $10 to me!
