What I'd really like to see is an application that permits resolution switching on-the-fly, i.e. without the need to reset each time. I get the feeling, however, that I might need wait until the next version of the Pocket PC OS is released for that to be a possibility.

the item I liked was:
" - Pocket PC screen capturing and video recording on the desktop system"
That makes this app worth the money just for training purposes......

"Incompatible handhelds:
- Fujitsu/Siemense Pocket Loox;
- Cassiopea E-200;
- Dell Axim;
- Packard Bell/NECMobilePro 300E;
- Mitsubishi Trium Mondo."
Too bad for Axim users. :roll:

Keep in mind Pocket Controller has done this for a long time, including screen and video captures. It's even sold in a bundle with Nyditot. Both work fine with the Axim. (Nyditot is finally patched.) It'll cost ya a little more, but the quality is way up there.

Annnd?
You can capture PocketPC movies using a variety of tools..
First, get yourself a copy of Microsoft's FREE remote display control. It broadcasts your PocketPC screen to any IP that's running the host software (big bonus to us developers with CF NICs). Then just use ANY movie capture software on that window. I tend to use Camtasia, it works nice.

I've contacted developers of dotPocket recently
They promised to fix the problem with Loox in April and with Axim in May.
By the way, button mapping options and half-transparent navigation element in dP 2.0 are pretty nice features.
