Default PDA Market Poised For Growth After Sluggish 2002

http://www.eet.com/sys/news/OEG20030225S0036

"The PDA market is poised for growth as the devices sport lower prices, increased functionality, and wireless and multimedia capability, according to a report from InStat/MDR. The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based market research firm forecasts an 18.3 percent CAGR in the device category between now and 2007."

I don't mean to gloat, but the article implies that features Pocket PC has long championed are going to be the keys in PDAs' resurgence. Simple organizer functions are already pervasive and have saturated the market. Now let's see who can capture this market most effectively.

This bolsters the position taken by UBS Warburg that I posted about here - http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/foru...pic.php?t=7278

Sorry to burst you bubble fellas, but if WIRELESS is the future as the study implies, then the platform that has the most head start is Symbian, not M$.
