The Poetic Crash
If you've ever had your Pocket PC get to the point where it needs a hard reset, you'll get a kick out of this poem.

I am SO all over this! One of the better glimpses of my iPAQ hell... but I wouldn't give up my device for the world!

But it only seems like it when you have a three-year CarePaq.

Nice poem, dude!
-- Here's my little addition
While I've investigated PPCs some more,
Hard resets seem to be a quite common flaw
This happened to me often when I owned an iPAQ,
program died down and I wondered what the f....
It sometimes required only one little fluff,
Screen went black and a-gone was my stuff.
But now things are better, excellent; even nice,
Because of my investment, this new great device,
While Active Syncing still sickens me the most,
I like my e310, and this much I have to boast:
In bus, train, airplane or bed,
My Toshiba has failed to fail me yet.

The funny part is, i saw the headline and said, "Geez, someone beat me to the poem" until i realized it was mine!!!!!
and the other funny part is i've been meaning to do a hard reset since i installed all these damn navigation systems - anyway, i didn't think the poem would make front page at ppcthoughts so i sent it over to josh at pdajunkie.net - glad it was appreciated - but be careful...i may write more!
Gary
btw - my wife's refurbished 3630 is a disaster, and my 3975 is resetting all over the place - time to look into dells

Re: The Poetic Crash
This is how it looked in the original format, i can't believe josh broke up my couplet formatting! also, i used fitaly (have to practice it sometime!)
MY iPAQ
I tap the button, now I wait,
What will be my program's fate?
My little buddy stares back,
Is it having a panic attack?
Now it's working but oh so slow,
Where did my information go?
The clock slowed and will not tick,
My ipaq is a cursed brick.
Not again, to my regret,
Another f#%&@ soft reset.
Still sluggish, to my dismay,
A hard reset's in store today.
Backup's made, data's stored,
With some luck it will be cured.
Fingers crossed, prayers made,
Reset pressed, stylus stayed.
In a flash, it was done,
I hope this frequent struggle is won.
Registry clean, RAM all clear,
I hug my pristine little dear.
Hours pass, programs all fresh,
Working better? You guess.
Still no better, what could it be?
That darn rotten windows ce.
