http://www.pocketpctools.com/module...order=0&thold=0

Pocket PC Tools has a scoop on the new Toshiba devices - the good ol' FCC is sure a good source of information! Jump over to the article on Pocket PC Tools and check it out...

Intel PXA 255 processor running at 400MHz
 180g
 125x80x16mm size
 1050 mAh Li-Ion battery
 Built-in WiFi (on one model)
 Sharp 3.8", Trans-reflective LCD screen
 64MB RAM/32MB Flash ROM
 CF Type II slot
 SD slot

UPDATE: Pocket PC Tools originally reported these as the e350/355, but upon further research by you, our avid readers, this is the e7xx series.

Isn't this just an e740? Even the dimensions are the same. At least it sounds like they improved the screens.

No, the rumored E750 has 4inch and 128MB, a little like the current Japanese Genio model.

funngunn,
supposedly $199, but I seriously doubt it. probably $300.

Hmm. It does look like the e740 mk II. Transreflective - hopefully that's transflective. And the new XScale is there. It'll soon be time for the litmus test. 8)

The model numbers are the same as the ones that DigiTimes reported on earlier this week! DigiTimes originally said to cost $199 USD but later came out with a new article that said that sources said Toshiba was "considering launching a new Pocket PC priced as low as US$199 in March or April". If they release these new models anywhere near the US$199 mark..... 8O

Toshiba was really clever about this. They leak the news that it *might* come out with a PPC with a price as low as US$199 device and timed the leak to be just before the info on the units shows up on the FCC website. Or at least that's my suspicion.
