Doesn't NASCAR.com use RealOne media content? If so, that would be bad with the problematic Pocket PC RealOne player.

Yep, I can really see a NASCAR fan whipping out their PPC phone during a race to check the stats; nice idea, but I don't see the demographic that they're targeting using it.

If their website is any indication of how good/bad the software is, then this software doesn't look to promising:
On one page it says the following:
"If you already own one of these devices, follow these directions."
Clicking on the link takes you to a new page that says this:
"If you own a Pocket PC
You must purchase a new Pocket PC in order to download the NASCAR.com TO GO applications."
Ok, I already told you I had a PPC, now you tell me I need to buy a new one to use your product....hmmm?
Looks to me like nascar is trying to sell PPC and cell phones. What's wrong with this picture?
Ever since NASCAR started charging for content at their site, they have been going down hill. I know they are a corporation just like every other company, but dear god! quit trying to do things that you are not good at. Stick to racing and gouging fans with high ticket prices and expensive memorabilia

This also has to be very slow using the cell phone network esspecially if there is like say 10,000 users on it. Good idea though but no nascar fan is going to want this hassle. Im leaving for Daytona tonight im a huge nascar fan and would not want to deal with it. Anyone else have anything to say about this?????

I can see it now- NASCAR fan having to face the terrible decision- Set down one of my two beers to check the race on my pocket phone thing...or keep double fisting with Bubba. Chug, chug, chug. :P
