Overview of Upcoming Samsung Phones
The linked article seems to be a comprehensive overview of Samsung's upcoming CDMA Smartphone/PDA phone lineup, including their Palm PDA Phone, their Smartphone for Verizon, and finally the Pocket PC Phone with camera for Sprint. Unfortunately, it's written in Korean, but the pictures are amazing.
Now, when are these phones coming? We're all waiting...
Update: Thanks to Trade Wind, we now have a Babelfish-translated version. I didn't know Babelfish did Korean!

So, Master O'Mayhem I suppose you already have one of these. :-)
I think the Palm calmshell device would be a very cool Pocket PC. Someone must be working on something like this.

Just the one? I'd suspect he has at least the Smartphone and the CDMA PPC PE.

Hmmm....saw this article back in the early Fall and thought I had learned about it from this site, guess not. Anyways, here is some of the more interesting information I've learned from reading the various message boards dedicated to each specific device (www.smartphoneforums.com).
Samsung I500
Carrier: Sprint
Rumored Release: March - August
Speakerphone: highly debated subject but likely none
SD slot: none
Processor: 66mhz
External Caller ID display: none
OS: Palm 4.1
Samsung I600
Carrier: Verizon
Rumored release: ?????? (not seen even a guess)
SD slot: yes
External Caller ID Display: yes
OS: MS Smartphone 2002 (not PPC)
Note: no touchscreen
Samsung I700
Carrier: Sprint and possibly Verizon (was running on Verizon over at CES)
Rumored Release: Summer 2003
SD slot: yes
OS: PPC PE
Note: you turn the phone around to talk thus you don't smudge the screen with facial oils (at least that's what the reports I've read say, I see what appears to be a microphone hole on the front of the phone though)
Note: camera supports video conferencing
Note: X-Scale CPU?????

Got to have it!!
Ohhhhh baby 8) . The more pics I see of this the more drool that builds up on my desk (pretty pitiful, I know)... I absolutely HAVE to get one. I wish we knew when Sprint will make the i700 available, this thing is making my pants go crazy. 8O I, for one, will be lined up at my local Sprint store as soon as it's released!!

Heresy and Blasphemy...
Ya know - I hate to say this, but I really like touch-sensitive screens, and the option of using a stylus for input.
So, for me, the "Stinger" version of the clam-shell that Samsung shows isn't as compelling as the Palm OS version of the same basic design - while I like the Stinger-version's external mini-LCD for caller-ID, I even more like the integrated Graffiti area on the Palm version.
I guess I would like to see the size of the one at the bottom - the Samsung Pocket PC Phone Edition, it's the first really new one I've seen after the Verizon/T-Mobile one.
Hmmm... decisions, decisions.
