Default PocketSat+ for Pocket PCs

http://www.bigfattail.com/software/...etpc/index.html

"PocketSat+ is a full-featured satellite tracking application for PalmOS and PocketPC devices. It is designed to be usable by both experienced satellite trackers as well as novices who are interested in knowing when they can simply look up and see satellites.

Like PocketSat, its predecessor, PocketSat+ includes tools to predict when satellites in low-Earth orbits will pass overhead and potentially be visible. Unlike PocketSat, however, PocketSat+ can track any satellite, and can display real-time plots of multiple satellites on both Earth maps and Sky charts."

This is currently a free preview release, so for the budding satellite trackers among you, check it out.

Just barely 2 weeks to try this out (expires on February 14). After then, you have to download another version at $25 a pop! Satellites are nice, but not worth $25 just to know where they are.

Are you asking why people want to know where satellites are, or are you asking why the locations of satellites are public?

As an Ham radio operator this would be helpful for me to know when certain satellites are around so I know when I can use them. Other than that I guess it falls under W?BIC

Or, you could use it see which satellites are communicating with your GPS.

Many of these satellites are easily visible to the naked eye. A lot of people are quite surprised when they discover this fact and are quite keen on seeing them. I've had quite a crowd standing outside the pub, staring into the west, waiting for the space station to appear.

Just curious, do you use my product SATALERT for the ISS viewings?
