Less expensive than the first one that I saw. I can't remember the other holders name but it was something like $69.

Question, how does it attach to the inside of the car? Where would it go, it is hard to tell from the picture? Is it just an adhesive on the bottom that sticks to the dash board?

Thanks,
-Eric

How's the quality of the built-in speaker.
Do I really want to listen to mp3s on it or is it just a gimmick?

Looks like a nice product though I don't like the "sticky tape" connection option. I prefer the vent and cup mounts of one of their competitors.

One potential problem I see. It says it's iPaq 5400 compatible, but the 5400's headphone jack is on the bottom and that connector cable at the top of the unit doesn't look like it will reach the bottom of the iPaq without an extension cable.

Arkon http://www.arkon.com/expansion.html has multimedia mounts that has a FM transmitter to send the audio to your car stereo but does NOT provide power to your PPC PDA. What we need a product that does both: DC to the PDA and FM out to the sound system.

The Multi-function car mount comes with a 2"x3" 3M tape which will let you to stick the mount on your dash. There also will be an optional mounting kit with suction cup and goose neck coming out in the near future.

This is perfect. It would be much neater than a Y cable for in car gps.

I can imagine using this with the bluetooth gps unit and pocketpc. My one concern was that voice commands from my loox would not b loud enough to hear over the stereo. This solves that problem.

My other concern was charging the gps unit and pocketpc at the same time.. this sorts that too.

too bad they dont make it for the loox

Basically, Loox is using a 4.0mm DC Jack for charging and a 3.5mm stereo jack for voice. If the Loox is the same spec (5V) as other pocket PCs which are using DC Jack for charging such as iPAQ 36/37 and Toshibas, you can get their DC Jack version so you can use it with your Loox.
