Default New Application Launcher From Stellarmetrics

http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&platformId=2&productType=2&catalog=0&sectionId=0&productId=50297

Stellarmetrics, developers of utilities like Today's The Day and Pocket Universe, has just released its new application launcher, StartPad.

The neat thing about StartPad is how customizable it is. It can automatically switch between different icon configuations depending on the time of day. For example, during the weekend or outside office hours, leisure-related icons can be displayed, while during office hours, work-related ones show up. Even better, it only costs $5.00!

Another neat thing is that John, the program's developer, has offered to give away a free copy of StartPad to three Thoughts readers. All you have to do is make sure that you're registered with this site in order to be eligible for the random drawing.

Not a fan of today-screen launchers... would rather just see a bit of info and the theme, but I do like the idea of a day/time based icon set. Nice thinking.

Check your emails from handango or wherever you usually shop. The filename is usually included in the download link they supply

I wonder if John could show us the smaller icons. Those on the screen shot are huge in my opinion 8O .

I agree, the icons take opp way too much space.

They look cool, but if I would have the same amount of icons as I have with Scott Seligman's Launcher, I would run out of space...

Here is another application that pretty much does the same thing. But this one is free and offers the source if you wanna modify the way it works yourself. It is called tdLaunch and it can be found here...

Default Nice feature

The changing menu sounds interesting.
Any demo possibilities?
