The Pocket PC Thoughts Timezone
All this talk about our contest has given rise to some discussions around time zone, and in a burst of "regionalcentrism", I didn't really think it all through when talking about it. So, for reference sake, the server is on Mountain Standard Time, which is GMT -7. Regardless of what time zone our correspondents are in, their posts cue up in MST. Hope that makes sense to everyone! So for those of you in places around the world where it's already 2003, it will be a little over six hours until the fun starts. The good news is that the giveaways will last for many hours, so it should be fair for everyone no matter where you are in the world.

You think I was sober when I started FirstLoox.org?
Actually - it's just past 1 am GMT - so averaging out the bottles of wine remaining between those still awake - and factoring in an ever decreasing drinking rate - I should still be awake and drinking in six hours time -
Mashtim - if you can persuade the pilot to fly over Suffolk (England) and let yopu parachute down - you can share this particularly fine vintage (1996) of New World champagne with us!!! 8)

Hehe...there's no good word for it. What's the regional/time-zone equivalent of "enthocentrism"? I couldn't think of one.
I'm off to be with the wife and friends for the evening - have a good night everyone! Be safe!
