Default WorldMate Freebies!

http://www.mobimate.com/ppc/worldmate/index.shtml

MobiMate has announced a new revision of its WorldMate application, a great tool for anybody who travels or works with people in other geographies or time zones.

"With its accurate weather forecasts information from The Weather Channel for 67 US cities and 190 world cities, World Clock, up-to-date currency exchange rates, Currency and metric conversions, international dialing codes, clothing measurements and more, it's the perfect companion wherever you are."

Features:

World Clocks - Compare 4 world clocks to your home time
Weather Forecast - Get weather forecast from The Weather Channel for over 250 cities
Day/Night World Map - Click on the map to find the closest city, or choose a city and see where it is on the map
Currencies Conveter - View 3 currencies at once, get updated rates online
Convert Temperatures, Measurements, Weights and more
Translate clothes sizes between USA, UK and Europe
 Find international dialing prefixes
Weather forecasts and currencies updates every time the device synchronizes

Ramel Levin, Director of Product Management at MobiMate, is SOOOOO excited about WorldMate, that he's agreed to give away ten -- count 'em -- TEN free copies of the software to Thoughts readers (I'll probably randomly choose the winners from our list of registered readers in a few days.). Of course, you gotta be registered with this site in order to win. In the meantime, you can download a free trial version of the software using the link above.

(Here's a little secret, too...We may just have some more freebies from MobiMate coming soon, so stay tuned...)

UPDATE: Remember, unless we tell you otherwise for specific contests, our winners are randomly selected from our list of all registered readers. So, you do NOT have to send a post or message asking to be part of the drawing.

I believe that's the standard icon that displays when your battery is low. However, if you want an application that shows your current battery level, there are TONS of them. Go to Handango.com and search for "battery."

(Hmmmm. Just how may software programs are there in a ton...?)

The refresh is slow. Also I use the datemate from the same company, I ask their tech support about the location of the data files, as I want to back it up. But no reply at all.

There are a few freeware program that do task/application management and display battery status.

wisbar - www.pelmarinc.com
icbar - www.ictinus.com/icbar/

Both of these programs are based on the original Wisbar program. Both are great programs.
