Default Network Management On The Move

http://www.blueprint.net/flash/index.htm

Blueprint is a UK based mobile data software company. They have just released a remote network management tool for IT administrators, "NetTools". You can download evaluation software for free and there is an "introductory offer available until February 28th 2003: 99 ($149) for server, web app and five client licences." Read on for more details!

London, UK 9 December 2002 - Blueprint, a developer of mobile data applications, today released a portable remote network management tool for IT administrators. Blueprint Network Tools Version 1.0, or NetTools, provides network support staff control of their networks and servers from a Pocket PC or other form of web-enabled wireless handheld device, including a mobile phone.

NetTools comprises two software elements one of which resides on the handheld device, the other on a server. The client device must be fitted with a wireless network card to enable wireless Virtual Private Network (VPN) or communication with the local area network (LAN) using General Packet Radio Services (GPRS), Global System for Mobile (GSM) networks or a standard dial-up connection.

The client application is a suite of network administration tools for managing Microsoft Windows networks and standard IP based LANs, Intranets or Web Server network zones. Tools include common network utilities such as Ping, Trace Route and Telnet for testing LANs, configuring routers fixing network problems, initiating routines and running applications.

Also included are advanced features such as wireless access to Microsoft Windows Services, user accounts and logs, start/stop services, processes, drivers and servers, remote DOS command execution and a graphical interface to Windows Services and user accounts.

On the server side, NetTools has multi-user capability. This allows multiple Pocket PC or Web clients to connect to a single NetTools server simultaneously and manage all computers on the local network.

The NetTools Pocket PC Client has been independently tested for compliance to Microsoft logo programs for Pocket PC 2002. This indicates the application has passed all usability and operating system guidelines and should be able to run with any certified Pocket PC 2002 device from HP/Compaq, Toshiba, Dell and others.

The NetTools software is available free for evaluation purposes from the Blueprint corporate site at www.blueprint.net. There is an introductory offer available until February 28th 2003: 99 ($149) for server, web app and five client licences.

Default Demo?

Sounds nice, but where do you download the demo from?

Am I blind or something? Been all over their website and I don't see any download links at all...
